Playacar

Playacar, Mexico is becoming one of the most popular vacation spots in the Caribbean. Part of the Mexican Riviera it is located just southeast of Playa del Carmen. Playacar boasts attractions for the entire family. You can walk to Playa del Carmen along the beach or through the mall located at the ferry dock.

Mayan art enthusiasts will find locally crafted one of a kind piece, imitations of genuine Mayan pieces and factory made products. Occasionally you can find valuable artifacts for a fraction of their worth. Don't be afraid to barter with the vendors.

Accommodations

There are plenty of rental houses available with breathtaking views of the Caribbean. Most are just a short walk to the beach. All-inclusive resorts have also become popular in the tropics. The advantages of these are that you don't have to worry about carrying cash around with you for food, drinks, and other amenities.
